Key to my Heart

Here's a quick Valentine's Decoration I made tonight and a small tutorial.  This project doesn't even really need one, but I've been asked to add a tutorial to some things I make~







What You will need is the following:

  • Your choice of scrapbook paper for the background
  • two other scrapbook papers in your choice of colors
  • a key
  • some ribbon for the bow
  • printed XOXO from your computer (or you could use stickers etc. in any words you want)
  • A Shadowbox (or frame)
I used an 8"x8" shadowbox frame that I've had for years.  I cut my background paper into the 8x8 size.
Then I trimmed another piece of paper for the middle of my background and then placed another on top of that to make it looked framed or matted.
I used my ribbon and tied it around the key and then into a bow.
Then I glued it to the middle of the paper.
I then printed  "XOXO" from one of my computer art programs and used the same two different color papers to frame this as well.  Taped it on under the key and there you have a "key to my heart" Valentine's Day decoration. Very quick and simple!

  1. Very cute Valentine project Crystal! I always thinks I'll get around to making V-Day projects and never seem to!!
